Building Strong Financial Foundations Through Education

Building Financial Confidence Since 2018

We started yevoraerinalio because too many good people were struggling with money basics that nobody ever taught them properly. Seven years later, we're still here doing what we love most.

Established 2018

Why We Do This Work

Back in 2018, I was working at a credit union in Winnipeg when I realized something pretty unsettling. Smart, hardworking people were coming in every day completely overwhelmed by basic budgeting concepts that nobody had ever explained to them clearly.

These weren't careless spenders or people making poor choices. They were teachers, mechanics, nurses, students — folks who were great at their jobs but had never learned practical money management. The banking industry kept offering complex products when what people really needed was straightforward education.

"We decided to focus on teaching the fundamentals that actually matter in daily life, not the theoretical stuff you'd find in a textbook."

So we left traditional banking and started yevoraerinalio. Our approach is different because we focus on real situations Canadian families face. Prairie winters, seasonal work, housing costs that don't match the national averages — we get it because we live it too.

What Guides Our Teaching

These aren't mission statement buzzwords. They're the principles we actually use when designing programs and working with people who trust us with their financial education.

Real-World Application

Every concept we teach connects directly to situations you'll actually encounter. No theoretical exercises that sound good but don't help when you're at the grocery store making decisions.

No Shame, No Judgment

Money stress affects everyone differently. We've worked with people earning K and people earning 0K who had similar budgeting challenges. There's no such thing as a stupid money question.

Canadian Context

Tax implications, banking systems, cost of living realities — we focus on what matters for people living and working in Canada, not generic advice that might apply anywhere.

Sustainable Habits

We're not interested in dramatic budget overhauls that last three weeks. Our programs focus on small, consistent changes that actually stick because they fit into real life.

The People Behind yevoraerinalio

We're not financial celebrities or bestselling authors. We're two people who genuinely care about financial education and have spent years figuring out how to teach it effectively.

Riley Thornfield, Financial Education Director

Our Teaching Philosophy

Riley spent 12 years in traditional banking before getting frustrated with how the industry approached financial education. He realized that most financial advice assumes people have extra money to work with, when the real challenge is learning to manage what you actually have.

Sage brings curriculum development experience from adult education programs. She's the one who figured out how to break down complex financial concepts into manageable steps that don't overwhelm people who are already stressed about money.

Together, we focus on practical skills over theoretical knowledge. Our programs work because they're designed for real people dealing with actual financial pressures, not ideal scenarios that exist only in textbooks.
